Simple & Perfect Stroller Aug 27, 2010 I bought this stroller after finishing up with the Chicco Trevi Travel System. I wanted to go smaller and lighter not needing the stroller to hold a car seat anymore. This was the ideal choice since it full reclines so easily when baby is sleeping plus folds up very small and easily. We have traveled with this and used it for baby in various locations and sometimes even used it as a luggage cart when our toddler wanted to walk. I love this stroller.
The only thing I would change is the canopy sometimes gets out of alignment and the self locking close mechanism sometimes won't shut if the canopy gets out of whack. It's a minimal issue and the benefits out weigh the risks. I wish they made this in a double since we coming upon #2 and searching for the perfect two seater that is still light and simple. Not an easy task.
Get this stroller for simplicity and perfection in a small package.
I love it! Aug 18, 2010 I've had this stroller for 5 months and absolutely love it! I did a ton of research before purchasing it and it was one of the only ones that had everything I needed. It's light and portable, I've used it on 3 flights so far (1 international) and I was able to collapse the stroller and place it in the security scanner, while holding my baby. It lays flat (a must when my 14 month old falls asleep). The cup holder is a nice bonus, although I wish there was a place for the baby's sippy cup, although you can purchase one seperately. There is a little storage room in the bottom (it acutally converts to a bag, and you can hold essentials for baby (ex: diaper bag, not a big one though). What I do is hang my bag on the stroller, but be careful because if you have heavy stuff hanging and take the baby out, the stroller will tip backwards (learned this the hardway!!). All in all its a good stroller, and my daughter loves riding in it. It sits upright high enough for her, which was an issue with a lot of other strollers I looked at. Most lightweight strollers don't lay flat, which was a must for me, since I was planning on doing a lot of travelling with some lenghthy layovers this summer.
A great stroller! Aug 12, 2010 I bought this stroller after a lot of research. I wanted a smaller lightweight stroller that folded up like an umbrella stroller but reclined enough to use with a newborn. I also wanted some storage under the stroller. This stroller has all of the above. It does fold up like an umbrella but not as small as I had hoped--it still takes up a lot of the trunk in my car. It's also heavier than expected, but is not unmanagable. The storage under it is small but adequate--it also removes and turns into a small carrying bag but I have not used that feature. Most importantly to me it reclines nearly flat so I was able to use it from the time my daughter was a newborn. Now that she is older the 5-point harness is comfortable and holds her upright so she can see everything. Also the shade is large and can be unzipped and moved to the front if needed. This stroller is easy to push and steer even with one hand. The front wheels swival or can be locked. The handles are long enough for my 6'5 husband to use without bending way over like some other strollers. The stroller also has a feet cover that folds out of the seat area to keep baby warm and dry during rain and cold--I have not used this feature as it is summertime but I am looking forward to trying it out this winter. It is also large enough for me to use it through toddler-hood. Overall I would recommend this stroller--I really like it.
Has all the features you could want, but bad wheels. Jul 23, 2010 I bought this stroller in October from Amazon, it was the best price online and because of the OCONUS shipping available.
All in all it is a very nice stroller, sturdy, easy to clean and has all the accessories needed. I love that it has a cup holder, one for baby would be great too but if you get one of those parent consoles, similar to what the BOB offers its great. The fold is very easy and compact for pretty much any car and of course light, like the name says. The basket is big enough for an umbrella stroller, and even converts into a carry around tote bag. The recline is VERY awesome for an umbrella stroller and definitely good for younger babies less than 6mos. of age. The little sleep booty is too small for older kids but we never needed it. I think the canopy could be bigger but it is sufficient.
My only gripe about this stroller are the wheels in the front, constantly getting caught sideways and a pain to maneuver. If this stroller had the 2-wheels on the front like the other Chicco stroller I think it would be fantastic!
As good as any other Jun 24, 2010 The Chicco is a reaaly nic stroller. Bit heavier than the Esprit (that the airline lost recently..) but light enough not to complain when putting in the trunk, bit bigger.
The color is not dark orange, it's actually red. But very pretty, for a boy or a girl.
The fabrics seems sturdy but not like a sand paper (as somebody mentioned in the previous review). Easy to nagigate, easy to fold/unfold, no kicking the wheels.
I'd recommend it to my friends.
